Born in New Hampshire, grew up in Vermont. Has lived in Brownsville, VT, Castleton, VT, Johnson, VT, Arcata, CA, Tacoma, WA, Burlington, VT, Asheville, NC,  Ithaca, NY, Brooklyn, NY, and currently resides in Schenectady, NY. Spent a great amount of time in Sayville, NY (Long Island) throughout childhood. Currently teaches art to high school students at a public school in Schenectady. Became a teacher because of the conviction and belief in kindness and creativity. Volunteered a year of service with Americorps in Tacoma, WA. Was in the bands: Stinky Green, Soul Feather, Withheld, Harry J. Anslinger, Confirmation Slaughter, Vector Diabolic and Last Bones. Currently making electronic music as INSULIN. Huge baseball, basketball, comic book, CD, cassette, film, and vinyl record fan. Loves, and is committed to, intense reading (also regular reading). Top 25 bands/musicians include: Phish, Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Orb, A Tribe Called Quest, Wu-Tang Clan, Minutemen, Slayer, Grateful Dead, Bob Marley and the Wailers, Primus, Meat Puppets, Allman Brothers, Praxis, Miles Davis, Rush, Mr. Bungle, Wolf Eyes, Röyksopp, Mastodon, Aphex Twin, The Beatles, Burning Spear, Death, Jakob Bro, and Robyn. Currently rides a Fuji Sportif 2.5 road bike, practices Tai Chi, and walks a good deal.
